Rainbow In The Clouds - Band Arrangement

Marimba, Oboe, Horn 1, Horn 2, Flute 1, Flute 2, Percussion, Bass Clarinet, Baritone Saxophone, Alto Saxophone 1, Alto Saxophone 2, Clarinet 1, Clarinet 2, Clarinet 3, Euphonium T.C., Euphonium, Suspended Cymbal, Tenor Saxophone, Vibraphone, Tuba, Bassoon, Bells, Wind Chimes, Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Trumpet 3, Timpani, Triangle, Trombone 1, Trombone 2 Rainbow in the Clouds is based on a traditional spiritual, possibly an African-American song from the 19th century, entitled God Put a Rainbow in the Clouds.  Composer Carol Brittin Chambers was inspired by the poet Maya Angelou to create this setting of the song. With rich and beautiful harmonies throughout, this piece will highlight students' musicianship.  This serves as a welcome change of pace on any concert or contest program.
