Xel-Ha - Jazz Arrangement

A high energy samba that opens with a piano riff that sets up the groove and alto/trpt melody. After a trumpet section fanfare interlude, the saxes move into the B section. The trombones restate the piano riff to set up the improvised alto sax solo. The pianist returns to the spotlight with a 16 bar montuna that leads into a modulation that launches the shout section. One last return to the intro riff builds to an exciting ensemble unison climax. Trumpet range is to written high D (once), high C (once), otherwise, high Bb. Trombone to F.
