In The Fog - Duet For Keyboard Percussion

While created primarily out of improvisation, Aaron Locklear’s In the Fog explores mathematically deduced rhythmic patterns, as well as the use of intervallic symmetry within a tonal context. This collaboration of improvisatory and mathematical material creates a sophisticated inner structure housed within a tuneful casing of accessible listening. This is a contemporary gem for the modern percussion duet. Written for marimba and vibraphone, Locklear also incorporates the use of celeste during certain passages (glockenspiel may be substituted for celeste). This extra color brings extra life to an already vibrant composition. In the Fog comes as a full, bound score with a color cover and includes an online download code to access individual parts for printing.
