Eight On 3 And Nine On 2 - Duet For Multipercussion
Eight on 3 and Nine on 2 is a multipercussion duet like no other. Written for eight pitched tom toms, 2 rototoms, 2 bongos, and a bass drum, this piece tests percussionists'? abilities to ?split? rhythms. Two players perform the piece facing each other, sharing instruments just as they share in playing almost every rhythm in the piece. The listener is engaged aurally and visually as both performers sound like one in an exciting and captivating percussive showcase. Written in 2007 for George Clements'? senior recital at the Eastman School of Music, the piece'?s unique name comes from unique experience. Robert Marino played 3rd bass drum for the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps? eighth DCI World Championship in 2000, and George played 2nd bass drum in the Cadets for their ninth DCI World Championship in 2005. The piece was written with the goal of combining drum corps elements into a formal recital piece that would challenge any percussionist, regardless of his or her level of experience. This piece comes as a full, bound score and includes a CD-ROM containing a live video recording (featuring Robert Marino and George Clements) and all individual parts available for printing.

Gretchen At The Spinning Wheel - Arranged For Vibraphone And Marimba Duet By Brian Blume
Written in 1814 and for piano and soprano, Schubert’s "Gretchen am Spinnrade," or Gretchen at the Spinning Wheel, is one of the most famous examples of Romantic-period German Lied. Its emotionalism and use of a famous text Goethe’s drama Faust are characteristic of the art song, but it is the accompaniment that sets it apart and makes it a rich work for marimba and vibraphone duet.  In this transcription Brian Blume captures the programmatic nature of the piano part, with the marimba playing the continuous sixteenth notes that are the spinning wheel and the vibraphone playing the quarter-/eighth-note rhythm that serve as the treadle. The vocal part is shared by both players in this challenging piece that offers numerous opportunities to showcase the musicianship of both keyboardists. Gretchen at the Spinning Wheel is provided as a professionally bound folio with a CD-ROM containing individual parts and an audio recording.

Variations On Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead (From The Wizard Of Oz) - Band Arrangement
This revered melody is developed through several distinct styles in Roy Phillipe’s Variations on Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead. Initially the traditional statement is presented and followed by a contemporary ballad with modern chords, and finally in a fast waltz reminiscent of Tchaikovsky style. Creative and engaging! This title is available in SmartMusic.
