Summer 2009 Music Technology Workshop

Our classroom is equipped with the latest digital recording technology including 12 Windows X64( 64 bit ) computer work stations running Sonar Studio 6 software.

Microphone technique
Theory Class Includes:
Songwriting and song form
Chord progressions
Basic keyboard skills
Intervals
Pop song composition and analysis
Drum Circle Class Includes:Hand drumming
Rhythm games
Improved rhythm skills
Study of different styles and grooves
Projects Include:
By the end of the week, the student will bring their own original song to full production to be burned to a CD. Mon-Fri 9-3:30 (8:30-5 if signed up for early drop-off/late pick-up) Cost: Full Day $389/Week, Half Day $199/Week

Rates:
Single/small project (1 performer with or without accompanist): $25/hour - Recording Studio Space & Equipment Rental per hour of recording time $35/hour - Engineer fee per hour of recording time + per hour of mixing/mastering Includes all equipment/engineering services and mixing, mastering & CD-copying time + 1 CD copy of the recording
Additional copies of CD $3 each
Multi-track recording (3 or more players): $25/hour - Recording Studio Space & Equipment Rental per hour of recording time $40/hour - Engineer fee per hour of recording time + per hour of mixing/mastering Includes all equipment/engineering services and mixing, mastering & CD-copying time + 1 CD copy of the recording

Student College Audition Demo Special:

Engineers:
ERICH TRUSHEIM(Digital Recording/Music Technology) graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelors in Music, concentrating in Audio Technology. He has worked at legendary Clinton Recording Studios in New York City, whose clintele includes Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, Winton Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, and companies like Sony, Disney, BMG, Universal, Warner Brothers, Atlantic Records, etc.
DAVID SCOTT graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors degree in Music Technology. He has worked in Q-Division Studios right outside Boston whose clients include James Taylor, Pixies, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. In addition, he studied a wide variety of production and composition techniques.
MARTY SEDEK graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in film & television music, which offered him hundreds of hours of studio time and experience. Marty has worked on soundstages in NYC & LA, both as a studio engineer and an orchestral conductor.
