Features:
Dominant Violin Strings were the original synthetic core and still one of the most popular strings we sell, and for good reason. Made with a "Perlon" core these strings will make almost any Violin sound better then steel core strings. When first installed, they sound a bit metallic and tend to stretch, but after a day or two they settle in nicely. Never install the day of a performance! They have a soft feel under the left hand and respond nicely. If you play/practice one or more hours a day I would recommend replacing every six months, the loss brilliance is gradual so you don’t realize it until you compare it to a new set. I would recommend replacing the “E” String with a Pirastro Gold Label #3151.
I install Dominants strings on all of our professional Violins. They are not the perfect string for every Violin but they are, in my opinion, the best starting point.
