Dominant Violin Strings were the original synthetic core and still one of the most popular strings we sell, and for good reason. These strings will make almost any Violin sound better then steel core strings. When first installed, they sound a bit metallic and tend to stretch, but after a day or two they settle in nicely. Never install the day of a performance! They have a soft feel under the left hand and respond nicely. If you play/practice one or more hours a day I would recommend replacing every six months, the loss brilliance is gradual so you don’t realize it until you compare it to a new set. I would recommend replacing the “E" String with a Pirastro Gold Label #3151.
I install Dominants strings on all of our professional Violins. They ore not the perfect string for every Violin but they are, in my opinion, the best starting point.
